Hilton Alumni Association Scholarships

Seniors can find the application for this and other scholarships in the High School Guidance Office.

• Scoppa Scholarship
  In memory of Mr. and Mrs. Scoppa, both teachers and principals at Hilton, for a college-bound student entering the teaching field. Carmen (Chip) Scoppa, Class of 68, and his family has set up a scholarship.
  

• Lt. Kevin Francis Scholarship
  A $500 scholarship for a senior in the Hilton Fire Department’s Explorer Program entering the firefighting field. Given by Richard Francis, ‘70 in memory of his brother Kevin, Class of 1978.
  

• Hilton Alumni Association Scholarship
  Given to a senior entering a trade or technical school, college, or university. Offering up to 2 scholarships of $1000 each.
  

• John Buell Memorial Scholarship
  Given to a senior pursuing an Art major. John was a member of the Class of 66 and his wife, Becky, Class of 71, and their son Brian, Class of 95, have set up this new scholarship in his memory. Becky told us that John was a master wood carver and painter. Mrs. Crosby encouraged his artwork and she said John also had Mr. Scoppa as a teacher (see the Scoppa scholarship). The scholarship will be for $300. This is a great reminder of how we are all connected through our school experience and how it benefits the greater community. Thank you Becky and Brian.
